Craft Supplies:
- Scarecrow Hat Printable – on our landing page
- Brown Cardstock Paper
- Scissors
- White Cardstock Paper
- Scrapbook Paper Scraps
- Orange Cardstock Paper
- Extra Large Googly Eyes
- Glue Stick or Tape Runner Adhesive
Directions:
- First things first – grab our free scarecrow hat printable, listed above in the supply list.
- Go ahead and find it on your computer, right click and print it out on a single sheet of BROWN cardstock paper.
- Now that you have the printable, go ahead and trim out the hat shape.
- Save the remaining paper for the mouth of the scarecrow. Set aside for now.
- Now you are ready to cut your paper scraps into long, thin strips for the scarecrow’s face. They don’t have to be perfect or all the same length {just like a real straw or hay!}
- Start gluing the paper strips in a random design, in the center of your white cardstock paper. You want them to lay on top of each.
- Add as many pieces of paper as you like to create your scarecrow head shape. You want it to be nice and “fluffy” though.
- When ready, glue on his brown hat on top of the paper scrap design.
- The last step is to cut out his nose/mouth out of the remaining cardstock paper and glue those on as well, with the two wiggle eyes.
- Now add any other embellishments you see fit.
- Then display your scarecrow paper piece proudly for all to admire!
