Footprints in the Sand Painted Keepsake Craft
It’s hard to believe but we have been living in Florida for SIX months now! It sounds clique but it really is going by so fast…
To mark the special occasion and start my “collection” of Florida decor for our ever-growing military memory wall in the house, recently I made this Footprints in the Sand Keepsake with my son and I just had to share the idea with you all!!!
It’s the perfect way to celebrate “beach” life {wherever you live!} and I hope you are inspired to make one with your child today as well!
So on that note, enough chit chat from us! Happy crafting my friends! Just be sure if you do decide to recreate this footprint beach canvas idea, that you come share a picture {or two} with us on our Facebook page! We seriously can’t wait to HEAR from YOU! #gluedtomycrafts

Craft Supplies:
- Large Blank Canvas – any size you want!
- Blue Craft Paint
- Brown Craft Paint
- Ivory Craft Paint
- Foam Paint Brushes
- Small Paper Plate
- Baby Wipes
- Large Scrapbook Stickers
Directions:
- First you want to squirt ALL your colors of craft paints on the small paper plate.
- Go ahead and start painting the base of your beach scene on the canvas. Paint some sand, the water, sun etc.
- When done, set aside the painted canvas to let it dry completely.
- Once you are ready for the footprints, squirt some “ivory” colored paint on a paper plate.
- One by one, paint the bottom of your child’s foot completely and press it on the canvas where you like.
- Remove excess paint off their feet with the baby wipes and a quick trip to the tub.
- To finish off the Footprints in the Sand Canvas – add other embellishments you see fit {like drawing in more sand/water/a palm tree} and add scrapbook letter stickers to really tie it all together. I did “Tampa 2017” since that is currently where we live and the year but you are more than welcome to do whatever you like!
- Then display proudly for ALL to see!
