An alternative to candy for the trick-or-treaters this Halloween, our mummy party favor idea is perfect for YOU!

Craft Supplies:

  • Squeeze Pouches
  • White Crepe Paper
  • Low Temp Hot Glue Gun
  • Craft Scissors
  • Large Wiggle Eyes
  • Gift Tag Printable {free file on box.com}
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Single Hole Punch
  • Twine or Thin Ribbon

Directions:

  • First tear off a two foot long piece of white crepe paper for each mummy squeeze pack you will be making.
  • Now get your glue gun hot and ready!
  • Take one end of your crepe paper and glue it to the center of your squeeze pack.
  • Once down, start wrapping the remaining crepe paper strip several times around the snack pack, until it’s completely covered and looks like a mummy.
  • Go ahead and now glue down the other end.
  • Repeat the above steps for each snack pack.
  • Once your mummy is “wrapped” up good, go ahead and glue down the wiggle eyes to give it life. I went ahead and glued mine down near the center of the snack pack, so the gift tag would not cover up the eyes.
  • To finish off the Mummy Super Squeeze Snacks – grab the freebie file on box.com, print it on white cardstock and trim out each circle.
  • To attach to the snacks, simply hole punch a hole on the top and thread with some twine.
  • Tie it to your finished mummy and get ready to gift it away!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
