MUMMY SUPPLIES:

  • If you might have guessed already, the supplies for this DIY are pretty simple and straight-forward. That’s just how we like it on Glued To My Crafts!
  • All you need per mummy is THREE white pipe cleaners, a jumbo popsicle stick and a black Sharpie marker. That’s it!
  • Of course – you can change up a few of the supplies listed above to fit what you might have. Instead of pipe cleaners, white craft yarn would work too!

DIRECTIONS:

  • To recreate this “mummy-tastic” craft, have children first draw on TWO eyes onto the popsicle stick with the Sharpie.
  • Next have them take their three white pipe cleaners and wrap each one around the popsicle stick several times to create the “mummy’s wrap/body.”
  • Then BAM! You have yourself a MUMMY that you can play with!
  • Now you have a mummy pretend play puppet piece that is not only “not spooky” but he’s also perfect to play with now, as well!

So what are you crafting up the kids this Halloween? Will it be this mummy craft? Maybe it will be our Tissue Paper Mummy idea instead? Share with us in the comments section or find us on Facebook! We love hearing from you!!! #gluedtomycrafts

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
