Spatula Stamped Christmas Gnome

When engaging in craft activities, it is important for young children to have adult supervision at ALL times. It is also recommended to use supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Feel free to modify materials or steps to meet your specific requirements.

Spatula Stamped Christmas Gnome

Are you looking for a fun and easy Christmas craft to do with the kids? Why not try making some gnomes using a metal spatula and white craft paint!

Yes, you read that right – a square shaped KITCHEN SPATULA can be used to STAMP a unique “beard” design on cardstock paper, that you later turn into CHRISTMAS GNOMES with just a few embellishments!

Spatula Stamped Christmas Gnome

This is a great project for all ages, and it’s so simple that even beginners can do it. Plus, the end result is really cute and festive. Ready to get started? Let’s go over the super quick steps below!

Craft Supplies:

  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • White Craft Paint
  • Spatula
  • Small Paper Plate

Directions:

  • First things first – squirt some WHITE craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Have children dip their spatula into the paint {smear it around} then stamp it in the center of the colored cardstock paper. This single print will become a beard for your gnome.
  • Now grab your various pieces of cardstock paper.
  • Trim out a large triangle hat and a small oval shaped nose.
  • Go ahead and now glue those in place on your print.
  • To finish off the Spatula Stamped Gnome craft, add any other embellishments you see fit {or add some wording if you choose!}
  • Then set it all aside to let it dry completely, before displaying proudly!
