Directions:
Once you have everything ready, follow these steps to create your reindeer masterpiece!
- First things first, if using a white paper plate instead of the gold, go ahead and paint it first. When done, set it aside to dry completely. If using a gold paper plate {like in our example image} go ahead and skip to the next step.
- Next up, color in ONE of the scarf designs in the provided printable. You can use crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Bold stripes look especially cheerful!
- When you’re done coloring, go ahead and trim it out.
- Now for the fun part! Have your child place one hand flat on the brown construction paper with fingers spread wide. Trace around it, then repeat with the other hand.
- Carefully cut out both handprints. These will become your reindeer’s antlers.
- Now for assembling the reindeer. Staple the handprint antlers behind the upper left and right rim of the plate so the fingers point up and out.
- Glue the wiggle eyes near the center of the plate, then add the red nose dot sticker just below and between them.
- Finally, the last step for this reindeer craft is to staple the scarf to the bottom of the decorated paper plate.
- Follow that up by adding any other embellishments you see fit before displaying proudly for all to see!
