To complete this craft, grab the free SUNGLASSES template file and print it onto a sturdy sheet of white paper or cardstock. Have kids color in the outline/rim of their sunglass design.
Next, instruct kids to tear their yellow construction paper into small pieces. This step is a lot of fun for little ones and provides excellent fine motor practice.
Squeeze a thin layer of school glue directly inside the sunglass design on your printed page.
Ask the kids to stick their torn paper pieces onto the wet glue. Keep adding pieces until the entire frame is completely filled and textured.
Once the yellow paper is secure, draw squiggly lines of silver glitter glue across the lenses to mimic the glare of the sun. Next, decorate the white space around the sunglasses. We used star stickers but you can change up. Then once you are done decorating, allow it to dry completely before displaying proudly for all to see!

This simple torn paper craft is a fantastic way to celebrate the sunny season while keeping kids entertained. The combination of bright colors, textured paper, and sparkly details makes every single project unique.
We absolutely love seeing the masterpieces you and your kids create. Please snap a picture of your finished craft and share it with our community on social media. Use the hashtag #GluedToMyCrafts and be sure to tag @GLUEDTOMYCRAFTS so we can see your beautiful work! Happy crafting, my friends!
