A handmade craft shaped like a bouquet, made from craft sticks, colored paper, felt flowers, and a gold ribbon, displayed on floral-patterned paper with the text Glued To My Crafts.

Today’s Popsicle Stick & Handprint Flower Bouquet Craft is not only easy to make but also a wonderful keepsake or gift for someone special. With just a few simple materials, you can create a colorful and charming bouquet that will brighten anyone’s day.

Whether it’s for Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation, or just a rainy afternoon activity, this craft is sure to bring smiles and spark creativity. Let’s get started!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Craft Sticks – 3 per craft
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • Scrapbook Paper {for the center of the bouquet}
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue (craft glue or hot glue gun)
  • Craft Ribbon
  • Flower Stickers & Embellishments

Directions:

  • Take three popsicle sticks and arrange them into a triangle shape. Glue the ends together to form the frame of the “pot.”
  • Cut a piece of light brown patterned paper to fit inside the triangle. Glue it to the back of the popsicle stick frame.
  • Tie a small bow using the light brown ribbon and glue it to the top edge of the triangle for a decorative touch.
  • Trace your hand (or your child’s hand) onto a piece of green cardstock paper.
  • Cut out the handprint carefully. This will act as the “leaves” and “stems” of the bouquet.
  • Glue the green handprint to the back of the popsicle stick “pot,” so the fingers extend upward like stems.
  • Attach the felt flowers to the tips of the fingers using glue.
  • Add any extra decorations, like glitter, stickers, or a handwritten message.
  • Let everything dry completely before displaying your masterpiece.

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
