Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and what better way to say “I love you” than with a heartfelt, homemade gift?

Kids adore creating things, and this easy, handprint “My Mom Is My Superhero” keepsake craft idea is the perfect way for them to showcase their love and admiration. Bonus? It’s a keepsake moms can treasure forever!

To complete this “My Mom Is My Superhero” craft idea, all you need to do is print out the provided file on white cardstock paper.

From there, kids can either use washable craft paint or a handprint paper cutout to finish the “MOM” phrase on the paper.

If using paint, gently press their painted hand onto the cardstock paper, keeping fingers spread apart to resemble the superhero “cape” effect. Hold their hand in place for a few seconds before carefully lifting it off.

After the handprint design is in place on the printout, help kids add a paper mask and two googly eyes to bring the “superhero” to life.
