Craft Supplies:

Before we jump into crafting, gather these easy-to-find materials. You might already have several of them at home!

  • Snow Globe Printable – from our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • School Glue
  • Large Cupcake Liners {we used light blue}
  • Printed Photo
  • Cotton Balls
  • Embellishments

Directions:

Follow these steps to create your Cupcake Liner Snow Globe Card. Encourage the kids to get creative and make their card as unique as their imagination allows!

  • First things first – print out the provided “it’s snow secret” printable, listed above. You need one print per craft.
  • Go ahead and have kids color in the bottom portion of the “snow globe” in the printout.
  • Now grab one cupcake liner and have kids flatten it out with their hands.
  • Using school glue, help them glue it down in the center of the printable. Add more glue to any edges that are not completely adhered down.
  • Next up – add your children’s trimmed down photo, to the center of the liner.
  • Finally, instruct them to add some cotton ball “snow” and various stickers inside the cupcake liner, to pull together the theme.
  • Allow them to add any other embellishments they see fit and allow it to dry completely before displaying it proudly for all to see.

Feeling inspired? Gather your craft supplies and start today. And remember—it’s SNOW secret that handmade gifts are the best kind of gifts!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
