To recreate this “whoooo is ready for fall” owl keepsake craft, start by printing our provided file on a single sheet of WHITE cardstock paper. You’ll need one print per craft and some washable craft paint, along with a foam paint brush, crayons and embellishments.

Start off by having kids color in the blank design using crayons. At this point in time they should also add on the googly eyes so the owl can see.

Next, prepare for painting! Help your child add ONE painted handprint for the owl’s wing on the printable. They will want to make it look like the handprint is the owl “raising” his hand. Allow the painted handprint to dry.

That’s it! Children can add any other embellishments they like, like various leaf stickers, resulting in a beautiful and sentimental piece to kick off the fall season.

Ready to make your own handprint owl keepsake? Gather your materials, set up your workspace, and enjoy the process of creating a beautiful memory with your child. Happy crafting!
