Reindeer Playing In The Snow Craft Idea For Kids

Now this is a holiday craft even Santa’s reindeer can get behind! Let your kids have fun and get creative with this adorable “paper plate and paint splatter” reindeer playing in the snow craft tutorial.

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate
  • Scissors
  • Brown Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencil
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Reindeer Printable – on our landing page
  • Small Googly Eyes
  • Red Craft Buttons
  • Blue Cardstock Paper
  • White Tulip Puffy Paint
  • Loose Craft Glitter
  • Stapler
  • Snowflake Stickers

Directions:

  • First things first – making your reindeer’s body. Go ahead and grab your large paper plate and scissors.
  • Cut the paper plate in half, straight up the center to make TWO equal pieces. Pull one piece aside for now.
  • Carefully cut out the center portion out of it, leaving only the rim.
  • Next grab your brown craft paint and paint brush.
  • Paint the paper plate piece completely brown. Set aside.
  • Now grab your head print out, along with your crayons.
  • Color in ONE of the reindeer designs. Trim it out and staple it to one end of your painted paper plate. At this point in time you can add his eyes and nose as well.
  • Now for the snowy scene! Grab your blue cardstock paper and the white puffy paint.
  • Fold the blue cardstock paper in half.
  • Open it back up and squirt a few lines of white paint on one side of the paper.
  • Fold it back up and “squish” the paint so it transfers to each side.
  • Open it back up {again} and sprinkle loose craft glitter on top of the white paint.
  • To finish off the Reindeer In The Snow craft – simply staple the finished paper plate to the center of blue cardstock paper.
  • Allow it to dry completely and then display proudly for all to see!
