Egg Hiding In The Grass Craft

Today we are going to show YOU how simple it really is to make this super unique “egg hiding in the grass” craft idea with just cardstock paper, glue and crayons! It’s another FIRST SEEN HERE IDEA that will make your holiday craft plans even better!

So what are we waiting for?! All crafty skill levels are going to LOVE this project tutorial and it’s the perfect boredom buster idea, as well! Make it happen today or bookmark it for later, for a fun Easter craft activity!

Our latest keepsake Easter Egg kids craft tutorial is going to be really easy and super inexpensive to pull together this spring season!

Craft Supplies:

  • Egg Printable – on our spring landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Crayons, Markers, Coloring Pencils etc.
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • Colored Cardstock Paper {the background}
  • Glue Stick
  • Easter Egg Stickers

Directions:

  • First things first – grab our free egg printable, listed above in the supply list.
  • Go ahead and find it on your computer, right click and print it out on a single sheet of white cardstock. You will only need ONE egg design per craft. Print as many as you like but only use our file for personal use please.
  • Now that you have the printable, go ahead and color in the egg design however you like!
  • When done coloring, trim it out and discard excess paper.
  • Now grab a single sheet of green cardstock and one of your crayons/markers etc.
  • Pick a hand – any hand!
  • Lay it down flat on the green cardstock and trace around it.
  • Lift up your hand and repeat on another section of the green cardstock paper.
  • Go ahead and now trim out both handprint designs on the paper.
  • Discard excess paper.
  • Next up – grab your remaining full sheet of cardstock paper, ALL the other cutouts and your choice of adhesive.
  • Start off by gluing the decorated egg shape in the center of the colored paper.
  • Follow that up with the TWO handprint cutouts, along the bottom, to represent grass. You want it to look like the egg is hiding behind it.
  • Now finish it by up adding any other embellishments you see fit {like some Easter egg stickers along the bottom!}
  • Then display your paper Easter egg piece proudly for all to see!
