Watercolor Snowy Mountain Craft

With our free mountain printable that is linked below, you can bring a little winter magic into your home or classroom. This is the perfect craft to do with kids!

Craft Supplies:

  • Mountain Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • Thick Watercolor Paper
  • Watercolors
  • Paint Brush
  • Small Dish w/clean water
  • Scissors
  • Pencil or Pen
  • School Glue
  • White Cotton Balls

Directions:

  • First download and print the FREE PRINTABLE MOUNTAIN TEMPLATE above.
  • Have children trim out the mountain and use it as a template to cut out their mountain shape from colored cardstock {or use the template as is instead} Set aside.
  • Now grab a sheet of watercolor paper, your watercolors, paint brush and dish of water. Go ahead and instruct children to paint a beautiful backdrop. No real rules – just painting fun!
  • Once they are done with their backdrop, have them glue their cut-out mountain to the watercolor paper.
  • For added fun, grab the cotton balls and glue them to the “mountain tops” to create a snowy look.
  • Then let it all dry completely, before displaying your watercolor mountain scene proudly!
