Cupcake Liner and Cotton Round Penguin Craft for Kids

Are you looking for a fun and easy winter craft to do with kids? This adorable penguin craft uses simple materials like cupcake liners and cotton rounds to create a charming winter friend. Perfect for classrooms, playdates, or a cozy crafting afternoon at home!

Materials Needed:

  • Black cupcake liners (standard size)
  • White cotton rounds
  • Googly eyes
  • Orange construction paper
  • Blue construction paper (for the background)
  • White paper (for snow)
  • Glue stick or craft glue
  • Scissors
  • Optional: Glitter or snowflake stickers for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Background:

    • Take a sheet of blue construction paper to serve as the background.
    • Tear a strip of white paper to create a snowy ground and glue it to the bottom of the blue paper.

  2. Make the Penguin Body:

    • Flatten a black cupcake liner to form the penguin’s body.
    • Glue the cupcake liner onto the blue background, slightly overlapping the snowy ground.

  3. Add the Penguin’s Belly:

    • Take a white cotton round and glue it to the center of the cupcake liner. This will be the penguin’s belly.

  4. Create the Penguin’s Face:

    • Glue two googly eyes above the cotton round.
    • Cut a small triangle from orange construction paper for the beak and glue it below the eyes.

  5. Add the Penguin’s Feet:

    • Cut two small, rounded shapes (or heart shapes) from orange construction paper for the feet.
    • Glue them at the bottom of the cupcake liner, slightly overlapping the snowy ground.

  6. Decorate the Scene:

    • Add snowflake stickers or draw snowflakes with white crayons or markers.
    • Optional: Add glitter or small blue gems to make the scene sparkle.
