A handmade Valentine’s card shaped like a popcorn container with cotton ball popcorn, red glitter hearts, glue, and a gold marker—a fun valentine's day craft idea for kids! Features “You make my heart POP!” on pink paper.

Looking for a budget-friendly and adorable Valentine’s Day craft? Today’s Valentine’s Day Craft is simple, fun, and perfect for kids or anyone who loves to get creative! Using just a few affordable supplies like popcorn bags, construction paper, and cotton balls, you can create a festive and fluffy masterpiece. Let’s get started!

Craft Supplies :

  • Popcorn bags (available at Dollar Tree)
  • Construction paper (any color you like – we used pink)
  • School glue
  • Glitter glue {yellow}
  • Cotton balls
  • Heart cutouts (or stickers)
  • Marker

Directions:

  • Prepare Your Base: Start by gluing a popcorn bag onto the center of a sheet of construction paper. This will serve as the base for your Valentine’s Day design.
  • Add the Fluff: Using school glue, attach cotton balls around the edges of the popcorn bag or wherever you’d like to add a fluffy, cloud-like effect. Be generous with the cotton balls to make it extra soft and fun!
  • Decorate with Yellow Glitter Glue: Add some sparkle {to mimic the butter} to your craft by using glitter glue to make swirls on top of the cotton balls.
  • Add Hearts: Finish off your Valentine’s Day craft by gluing on heart cutouts or sticking heart-shaped stickers around the design. You can even write a sweet message like “You’re Poppin’!” or “You Make My Heart Pop!”
  • Let It Dry: Once you’ve added all your decorations, set your craft aside to dry completely.
