To complete this craft, grab the free CLAW-SOME template file and print it onto a sturdy sheet of white paper or cardstock.
Next, instruct kids to tear their RED construction paper into small pieces. This step is a lot of fun for little ones and provides excellent fine motor practice. Out of the remaining red cardstock paper, help them cut out TWO handprint cutouts. Set those aside for now.
Squeeze a thin layer of school glue directly inside the crab design on your printed page.
Ask the kids to stick their torn paper pieces onto the wet glue. Keep adding pieces until the crab is completely filled and textured.
Once the red paper is secure, add the two handprint cutouts and two wiggle eyes for him to see with!
Then once your child is done decorating their unique crab, allow it to dry completely before displaying proudly for all to see!
Now it’s your turn to get crafty! Whether you’re making this card for a loved one or just for fun, your Torn Paper Red Crab is sure to make waves. Remember, creativity has no limits – so let your imagination run wild! And don’t forget to share your claw-some creations with us. Happy crafting, my friends! 🦀✨
