If you love Peeps but want to avoid the sticky mess, this is a great craft idea for you. Capture the bright, cheerful vibe of these classic treats without the sugar rush or the cleanup.

This torn paper Peeps bunny craft idea is the perfect sugar-free way to celebrate the season. It is simple, colorful, and completely mess-free. Plus, it brings a ton of developmental benefits along with the fun.

A childrens craft project shows a bunny shape filled with torn yellow paper, black paper circles for eyes and nose, a bottle of Elmers glue, colorful paper squares, and text reading For one of my favorite peeps! FREE PRINTABLE!!!.

One of the best things about this craft is how it helps build essential skills. The tearing aspect of this project is practically a workout for little hands.

When kids pinch and tear the construction paper, they build strength in their fingers and hands. This specific motion improves fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It prepares them for holding pencils, using scissors, and performing other precise tasks. Plus, ripping up paper is just plain fun. Kids love having the permission to tear something up, making this an engaging activity from start to finish.

Craft Supplies:

  • PEEPS BUNNY PRINTABLE {on our landing page}
  • Cardstock Paper {white or colored}
  • Neon Colored Computer Paper
  • School Glue
  • Scissors
  • Googly Eyes or Black Dot Stickers

Directions:

  • First download and print the FREE peeps bunny template listed above, on a single piece of cardstock paper. You will need to print ONE for each craft you want to do with your child.
  • Now help your child cut/tear their second sheet of neon colored paper into small pieces.
  • Next grab the school glue and put a good amount of glue ALL over the inside of the bunny design on the printable.
  • Have children place their paper pieces on top of the glue {adding more if needed} until the shape is completely covered.
  • The final step is to add the “eyes” and any other embellishments you see fit.
  • Once done decorating your Torn Paper Marshmallow Peeps Bunny card, set aside to let it all dry completely before displaying/gifting proudly!
  • Don’t forget to share pictures of your adorable peeps bunny craft with us! #gluedtomycrafts

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
