Valentine’s Day brings out the sweetest crafting moments, especially when you trade standard paper cards for something a little more magical. If you want a fun, hands-on activity that sparks true creativity, this Paint Splat Love Cauldron craft is exactly what you need.
This kid-friendly project mixes colorful paint splats with festive glitter to brew up a charming “love potion.” It offers a wonderful way for you and your children to bond over a shared art project while making a lovable holiday keepsake!
Craft Supplies:
- CAUDLRON PRINTABLE – ON OUR LANDING PAGE
- White Cardstock Paper – two sheets
- Tulip Puffy Paint
- Loose Craft Glitter
- Heart Stickers
- Paper Craft Scissors
- Stapler
- Baby Wipes
Directions:
- First things first – print out the provided cauldron shape listed above, on white cardstock paper. You will want ONE print per craft.
- Next up – use scissors to trim out the cauldron shape {as well as the inners of it!}
- Set aside the cutout piece till later on.
- Now fold a single sheet of white cardstock paper in half.
- Unfold it and squirt some red/pink paint on one side of the paper.
- Once the paint is down, go ahead and refold/squish your paper together again.
- Use your hands to to rub all over the folded paper piece, so the paint blends together nicely inside.
- When ready, carefully unfold your piece to reveal your “paint splat” design inside. This will become the inside of your “love” cauldron.
- Working fast, go ahead and sprinkle some loose craft glitter on top of the wet paint.
- Go ahead and also add in your heart stickers as well.
- Now grab your cauldron cutout from earlier, along with your stapler.
- To finish the Valentine’s Day Cauldron craft – place the cutout on top of the paint covered piece and staple the corners so the two pieces won’t come apart.
- When done with the craft, set aside your piece to let it dry completely before you display it proudly for ALL to see!

Paint Splat Love Cauldron Craft Idea For Valentine's Day

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:
- School Glue
Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!
Directions:
- Please make sure you have a good working area that can get dirty because paint will squeeze out of the sides of this craft!!!
- First fold your white cardstock paper in half {you need one sheet of paper, per craft.}
- Unfold and squirt some paint on one side of the white paper. Be sure to keep the paint inside the paper and not place too much down. Just enough to make a marbled design.
- Once the paint is down, go ahead and fold/squish your paper together again. Be sure to rub your hand all over the folded piece, so the paint will cover your the inside nicely {paint WILL more than likely squeeze out the sides, so be sure to pay attention to that and clean up with baby wipes!}
- Now carefully unfold your piece to reveal your design inside. This will be the inside of your cauldron.
- Sprinkle some glitter/rhinestones on top of the wet paint if desired. Set aside.
- Now grab your cauldron printable.
- Cut out the center of the design. This will act as a window "inside" your cauldron.
- To finish the Paint Splat Love Cauldron craft - add glue to the back of your cutout and lay it on top of the paint splat design.
- When done, set aside your pieces to let them dry completely before trimming it up to display proudly.
