This torn paper fall sweater craft is a wonderful way for kids to celebrate the season. This project is simple, requires just a few basic materials, and is perfect for a quiet afternoon at home or as a fun classroom activity. Let’s get ready to tear, glue, and design some fabulous fall fashion!

Craft Supplies:

Here’s everything you’ll need to get started on your torn paper fall sweater masterpiece:

  • Construction Paper {any color!}
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Sweater Weather Printable – from our landing page
  • School Glue
  • Embellishments

You probably already have most of these items at home! If not, they’re easily available at local craft stores or even dollar stores.

Directions:

Follow these easy steps to create a one-of-a-kind paper sweater.

  • First things first – download and print out the FREE provided blank “sweater weather is better together” printable listed above, on a single piece of white cardstock paper.
  • Have kids color in collar/cuffs in the printable however they like.
  • Next up, help your child cut/tear their construction paper into small pieces.
  • Now have them use school glue to glue those pieces inside the “fall sweater” design in the printable. Remind the kids that the goal isn’t perfection—it’s about having fun and creating something that’s entirely their own.
  • The final step is to have kids add some stickers/embellishments to give their clothing some personality and fall flair!
  • Allow the paper piece to dry completely before gifting away!
