Craft Supplies:
Creating your torn paper candy corn card doesn’t require a long list of supplies. Here’s what you’ll need:
- CANDY CORN PRINTABLE {on our landing page}
- White Cardstock Paper
- Yellow and Orange Construction Paper
- School Glue
- Googly Eyes
- Two Wooden Clothespins
- Small Piece of Candy
- Scissors
These materials are easy to find and likely already available in your home. If not, a quick trip to a craft store will set you up nicely.
Directions:
- First download and print the FREE have a sweet Halloween card template listed above, on a single piece of white cardstock paper. You will need to print ONE for each craft you want to do with your child.
- Now help your child cut/tear their yellow and orange construction paper into small pieces {keeping the colors separated.}
- Next grab the school glue and put a good amount of glue in the two bottom sections of the candy corn design.
- Have children place their paper pieces on top of the glue {adding more if needed} until each section is completely covered.
- Next up – have kids “pinch” their piece of candy in between the two clothespins. You will want it to look like “hands” holding the candy.
- Assist them on gluing it to the center of their torn paper design.
- The final step is to add the googly eyes and any other embellishments they see fit.
- Once done decorating, set aside to let it all dry completely before displaying/gifting proudly!
