Craft Supplies:

Before we get started, gather the following materials, most of which you probably already have at home or in the classroom:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 3 per craft
  • Mini Popsicle Sticks – 2 per craft
  • School Glue
  • Paper Plate
  • Yellow Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Free Pencil Printable – on box.com
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Coloring Pencils or Markers
  • Scissors
  • Large Wiggle Eyes

Directions:

Now that you’ve rounded up your materials, it’s time to get crafting!

  • First things first –  assemble the base of your pencil friend by gluing your popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {3 jumbo next to each and two mini across.}
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • While that is drying, grab your printout. Use your choice of craft medium to color in ONE set of the pencil design.
  • Trim out those pieces and save the remaining for repeating this craft.
  • Now grab your yellow paint paint, paint brush and popsicle stick base.
  • Paint the popsicle stick shape completely yellow.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Pencil craft, glue your two paper cutouts to the painted popsicle stick design, along with adding a face to bring it to life.
  • When done decorating your popsicle stick shape, set it aside to let everything dry completely.
  • Then display proudly for all to see!
