Cupcake Liner First Day of School Badge Craft

The first day of school is a milestone event for both kids and parents. It’s a day filled with excitement, anticipation, and a tiny bit of nervousness. But what if there was a fun and creative way to make this day even more special? Insert our super easy “cupcake liner badge” craft project idea!

Not only does it create a memorable keepsake for your child, but it also provides a delightful activity that can help alleviate those first-day jitters.

To recreate this first day of school idea, all you need to do is print out the provided “hooray, I had a great first day” file on white cardstock paper. Color in the printable however you like. When done coloring, trim out your colored pieces.

Next up – grab three to four large cupcake liners and flatten them out with your hands. Stack them on top of each and place ONE staple in the center. Use scissors to cut a fringe around the edge.

Now we are heading towards the final steps. Layer your paper badge, then the cupcake liner flower and finally the circle shape on top of each other. Add a single staple in the center to hold it all together. Add any other embellishments you see fit.

And that’s it! It’s honestly doesn’t get any easier than this! This HOORAY badge craft can happen within minutes and I sure hope you give this a try this back to school season of life!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
