Paper Plate and Cupcake Liner Snowman Snow Globe Craft Idea

A snowman made from cupcake liners is glued to a blue painted paper plate with gold stars and gems. Cotton balls form snow at the base, and a gray paper stand completes the snow globe craft. @GluedToMyCrafts is written below.

Are you looking for a fun and festive winter craft to keep the kids entertained? This Cupcake Liner and Paper Plate Snowman Snow Globe is the perfect activity! It’s simple, creative and uses everyday materials you likely already have at home.

Kids will love building their own snowman and decorating their snow globe, making it a delightful way to celebrate the winter season.

Materials Needed:

  • 1 large paper plate (preferably white)
  • Blue paint (or any wintery color)
  • 3 white cupcake liners
  • Cotton balls
  • Dark gray construction paper
  • Gold glitter stars or sequins
  • Black marker
  • Orange paper (for the snowman’s nose)
  • Glue stick or craft glue
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Snow Globe Base:

    • Paint the paper plate blue (or your chosen color) to create the background for the snow globe. Let it dry completely.
  2. Create the Snow Globe Stand:

    • Cut a trapezoid shape from the dark gray construction paper. This will act as the base of the snow globe. Glue it to the bottom of the paper plate.
  3. Assemble the Snowman:

    • Grab THREE cupcake liners.
    • Stack them vertically in the center of the paper plate to form the snowman. Glue them in place.
    • Use the black marker to draw two eyes and buttons on the snowman. Cut a small triangle from the orange paper and glue it on as the snowman’s nose.
  4. Add Snow and Ground:

    • Glue a line of cotton balls along the bottom edge of the paper plate to represent snow on the ground.
  5. Decorate the Background:

    • Scatter gold glitter stars and sequins across the blue background to create a festive, starry night effect. Glue them in place.
  6. Finishing Touches:

    • Add any extra decorations you like, such as a scarf for the snowman (made from ribbon or paper) or more glitter for sparkle.

A Winter Themed Toddler Craft, this snowman made from white cupcake liners is glued to a blue paper plate with drawn snowflakes, cotton ball snow, and a glittery brown base, resembling a snow globe. @GLUEDTOMYCRAFTS is at the bottom.

And there you have it – a charming Cupcake Liner Snowman Snow Globe that’s as fun to make as it is to display! Whether you’re crafting at home, in the classroom, or at a holiday party, this project is sure to bring smiles and a touch of winter magic.

Don’t forget to share your creations and let the kids’ creativity shine. Happy crafting, my friends!
