Cupcake Liner Christmas Moose Card Craft for Kids

Today’s Cupcake Liner Christmas Moose Card is a wonderful way to spend a cold afternoon with your children. It’s simple, uses common craft supplies, and results in an adorable handmade card perfect for giving to family, friends, or teachers.

Whether you’re crafting together on a winter weekend or searching for a unique homemade card idea, this project is sure to become a family favorite. With easy-to-find supplies and a handy free printable template, making these adorable moose cards is simple, fun, and filled with opportunities for your child to add their own special touch. Let’s dive in and bring some festive moose magic to your holiday season!

Craft Supplies:

One of the best things about this craft is its simple supply list. You likely have most of these items at home already.

  • Christmas Moose Card Printable – from box.com
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Glue Stick
  • Large BROWN Cupcake Liners
  • Brown Construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • Washable Finger Paint
  • Embellishments

If you don’t have brown cupcake liners, you can use white ones and have your kids color them brown with crayons or markers before you start. It adds another fun, creative step to the project!

Directions:

Follow these simple steps to bring your cupcake liner moose to life. We recommend an adult handle any tricky cutting, while the kids take the lead on gluing and assembling.

  • Print and Color – Start by printing the “Merry Christ-MOOSE” printable. You will need one copy for each craft you plan to make. Let your child’s creativity shine as they color in the two antler designs on the paper.
  • Add the Moose Head – Take one cupcake liner and show your child how to flatten it with their hands. This will become the moose’s head! Use a glue stick to secure it to the center of the printable, right below the antlers. Make sure to press down all the edges so it sticks well.
  • Build Your Moose – Now it’s time to bring your moose to life. Help your child carefully cut out the nose and ear shapes from brown construction paper. Glue them onto the cupcake liner to create a friendly face.
  • Decorate the Antlers – Using a marker, guide your child to draw fun squiggly lines on the colored antlers to look like strands of lights. For the finishing touch, let them press their fingertips into an ink pad or paint and add colorful fingerprint “lights” all over the antlers.
  • Finishing Touches and Drying – Encourage your child to add any extra decorations they like – glitter, stickers, or more drawings! Once their cupcake liner holiday moose creation is complete, set it aside to dry completely before you display it for everyone to admire.

We love crafts that are easy for little hands to manage, and this cupcake liner Christmas moose idea is a real winner. By combining the humble baking cup with a bit of paper and glue, your child can create a charming moose character with tons of personality!
