First squirt your various shades of craft paint on a paper plate.

Depending on the look you like, you can either free-style the ice cream cone OR use your child's footprint as the cone. Regardless of what direction you take, the cone is a great starting point.

Next paint your child's hand and press it down on the canvas {near the ice cream cone} to give the look of ice cream.

Repeat for how many layers you want/the look you like.

Use baby wipes to remove excess paint from your child's hands {with a quick trip to the sink as well!}

If desired, add other embellishments you see fit {like a cherry on top, sprinkles or even a fun dot pattern around the canvas}

Set aside to let it dry completely.

Then display your finished handprint ice cream canvas and/or gift it away proudly!
