First have children paint their wooden fan stick completely {any color they like!} This is the body of the dragonfly.

Repeat for each one you want to make today.

Now grab TWO paper heart doilies and glue them to the center/back of the popsicle stick to represent the wings.

At this time, go ahead and also glue on the wiggle eyes & draw on a smile with the sharpie marker.

The last step is to cut out some antennas from the cardstock and adhere those to the back of your piece, with the wings.

To finish off the Popsicle Stick Dragonflies – have children add other embellishments they see fit and set it all aside to let it dry completely.

Then once dry, display proudly OR use in creative imaginative play!
