First things first - squirt a small amount of yellow craft paint in the center of the paper plate.

Have children use the foam paint brush to paint their paper plate completely yellow.

Next up - take the puffy paint and draw on an emoji face on the painted paper plate.

While they are working on that, cut out a graduation cap from the black cardstock paper.

To finish off the graduation emoji kid craft idea – staple the cardstock hat onto the decorated paper plate.

At this point in time you can also make a small tassel from ribbon or twine & staple it to the hat as well.

Allow the paper plate piece to dry completely before you display it proudly for all to see.
