First have children paint their wooden craft spoons however they like. Birds come in all colors so let your child go wild on this one!

Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.

While they are working on that – grab a cupcake liner and flatten/fold it in half with your hands, to create the wings of the bird.

At this point in time you should also cut out a small triangular beak from the orange cardstock for your bird.

To finish off the Wooden Craft Spoon Bird – simply glue the flattened cupcake liner in place, as well as the cardstock nose. Follow that up by gluing on the wiggle eyes as well.

Then add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter, rhinestones etc}

To display, you can add magnets to the back or hot glue some string for easy hanging!
