First squirt some paint on the outer rim of the paper plate and have your child paint it completely.

Set aside to let it dry completely.

Next cut your brown tissue paper into small squares.

Put some glue in the center of the painted plate and have your child place the tissue paper on top to represent the "hot cocoa."

To finish off the Paper Plate Hot Cocoa Mug, place a few cotton ball "marshmallows" in the center, as we well as stapler a cardstock handle to one side.

Then let it all dry completely before displaying proudly.
