First download and print the FREE PRINTABLE MOUNTAIN TEMPLATE above.

Have children trim out the mountain and use it as a template to cut out their mountain shape from colored cardstock {or use the template as is instead} Set aside.

Now grab a sheet of watercolor paper, your watercolors, paint brush and dish of water. Go ahead and instruct children to paint a beautiful backdrop. No real rules - just painting fun!

Once they are done with their backdrop, have them glue their cut-out mountain to the watercolor paper.

For added fun, grab the cotton balls and glue them to the "mountain tops" to create a snowy look.

Then let it all dry completely, before displaying your watercolor mountain scene proudly!
