Get creative this holiday season with your family and create a beautiful festive craft! Learn how to make our simple marbled Christmas tree craft idea that's perfect for all ages.
Please make sure you have a good working area that can get dirty because paint will squeeze out of the sides of this craft!!!
First fold your paper plate in half {one per Christmas tree craft you want to make today.}
Unfold and squirt the TWO shades of green craft paint on one side of the paper plate. Be sure to keep the paint inside the paper plate and not place too much down.
Once the paint is down, go ahead and fold/squish your paper plate together again. Be sure to rub your hand all over the folded piece, so the paint will cover your the inside nicely {paint WILL more than likely squeeze out the sides, so be sure to pay attention to that and clean up with baby wipes!}
Now carefully unfold your piece to reveal your "marbled Christmas tree" design inside.
If desired, sprinkle some glitter/rhinestones on top of the wet paint, to create more texture and sparkle, as well as creating the ornaments of the tree.
Set aside to let it dry completely before moving onto the next step.
When dry enough, to finish the Paper Plate Marbled Christmas Tree, fold up the paper plate again and grab your craft scissors.
Cut off a small piece to give your paper plate a more defined "tree" look.
Open up your paper plate again.
Now grab both colors of your colored cardstock and cut out a small brown rectangle for the tree trunk, as well as a yellow star for on top of the tree.
Go ahead and staple both paper pieces in their designated spots on the decorated paper plate.
