First things first - cut your paper plate in half. Straight up the center to make TWO equal hat pieces.

Pull aside one of the paper plate halves.

Next is painting. Paint your paper plate piece however you like!

Now grab your scrapbook paper and/or cardstock.

Trim out TWO separate rectangular pieces that will be on the bottom of your winter caps.

Staple them on to the painted paper plates.

To finish off your Winter Hat Friends, use paint to draw on a smiley face to the paper plate piece, along with gluing on the wiggle eyes so they can see.

Glue on your large pom poms on the top of the finished pieces and set aside to let it dry completely, before displaying proudly!
