First grab three popsicle sticks {three per ugly sweater friend} and glue them together to look like a triangle. Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each piece you want to make.

While your shape is drying, choose a sheet of colored cardstock for inside your sweater. Cut out a triangle out of it, that will fit inside the popsicle stick design you just made. This will be the body of the friend and the inside of the sweater shape, as well. Set aside.

Now grab your remaining cardstock paper and cut out a circular head, arms and legs for your piece.

Draw on facial characteristics on the head with your Sharpie markers. Set all of it aside.

When the popsicle stick shape is dry enough, take your Sharpie markers {or craft paint} and give the popsicle stick shape you just made, some color.

Finally, take your various paper pieces that you just cut out and glue them to the popsicle stick shape, in their designated spots.

To finish off the Popsicle Stick Ugly Sweater Friends – decorate the inside of the sweater shape with ANY and ALL embellishments you want. Be sure to go to town and really give it your own spin!

When done, set it all aside in an undisturbed area so it can dry completely before you display!
