Instructions
First things first, grab the free "scarecrow hat" file and print it out on the light brown cardstock paper.
Now trim out the hat piece from the printable and discard the excess paper.
Next up - grab your white cardstock paper andĀ pencil.
Trace both of your child's hands {one at a time, in separate locations} on the paper.
When done tracing, trim them both out. This will be the beard for your scarecrow gnome.
Now to work on his body. Grab the orange cardstock paper and the scissors again.
Fold the cardstock paper, unfoldĀ and cut it in half.
Reverse one half for the gnome body and save the other for another day.
Finally - cut out a small oval nose shape from the dark brown cardstock paper.
You now have all your pieces, it's time to start assembling! Grab your choice of adhesive and all your paper cutouts.
Start off by gluing the two handprint cutouts {his beard} under the brown hat paper piece.
Follow that up gluing on his nose to the center and anything you want to decorate the hat piece with.
Finally - glue on the orange rectangle body piece, to the back of everything.
To finish off your Paper Scarecrow Keepsake, use the black marker to draw on "stitching" and really tie the theme together.
Now you can stop here or add any other embellishments you see fit, to give it your own personal spin!
Then display your handprint fall gnome paper piece proudly for ALL to see!!
