PAIR YOUR POPSICLE STICK AND PAINT FISHING POLE CRAFT WITH —> Hooked On Daddy Keepsake Canvas Tutorial
Fishing Pond Craft Supplies:
* Free Fish Outline Printable <— grab it from box.com
* Color Printer
* White Cardstock Paper
* Crayons, Coloring Pencils, Markers etc.
* Paper Scissors
* Dark or Light Blue Cardstock Paper
* Dark Blue Tulip Puffy Paint
* Light Blue Tulip Puffy Paint
* Craft Yarn or Twine
* Jumbo Popsicle Stick – one per fishing craft
* School Glue
optional materials for this craft – loose craft glitter
Directions:
* First print the free fish printable listed above.
* Next go ahead and color in ONE of the fish designs in the printable, however you like.
* When done coloring your fish, cut it out and set it aside.
* Now grab your blue cardstock paper.
* Fold it in half {either direction works!}
* Now unfold and squirt some light blue & dark blue fabric paint on one side of the paper. Just a few squiggles will do. Just be sure to keep the paint inside the paper and not to close to the open edge. Also, less is more!
* Once the paint is down, go ahead and carefully fold up/squish your piece of paper together again.
* Rub your hand all over the folded piece, so the paint will make a symmetrical splat inside.
* Now carefully unfold your piece to reveal your “fishing pond” design.
* If desired, sprinkle some loose craft glitter on top of the wet puffy paint design.
* Next up – cut off a small piece of craft yarn {maybe 5-7 inches long} and add some school glue to the two ends, so it will stick to the paint splat design.
* Go ahead and lay it down on your paper. Add more glue to it if need be.
* Now place some glue on the back of your jumbo popsicle stick and laying it down on one end of the craft yarn you just glued down.
* To finish the Fishing Hole craft – glue the fish in place, on the other end of the craft yarn. It should now look like the fish is “hooked” on a fishing rod.
* When you are done crafting, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly.
* Repeat the steps above TWO more times with the remaining fish in the printable! Have fun!
