Think of it as an ice breaker, a conversation starter or just something simple for the kids {and even adults!} to play with, to keep them busy right before the eating starts.

I could easily see this idea tic tac toe pie craft idea being a table setting addition, that you make several of to place between each plate setting, so no one misses out on the fun. And with the supplies being so simple and so easy to find these days, it won’t break the bank, nor stress you out as you prepare for the feast.

So what are you waiting for? All the details can be found below in our tutorial. I went with pumpkin and cherry pie for my pictures but you can of course change up the colors to reflect your favorite pie or dessert! Maybe even match it up with what you are serving that day!

BTW – my favorite part of this craft is the pom pom whipped cream and candy corn from Michael’s as the game pieces but you can of course substitute this material out as well with large buttons, paper candy corn cutouts or little candies for extra fun on the big day!

Tic Tac Toe Pie Craft Supplies:

* Large Paper Plate – one per pie game craft
* Orange or Red Craft Paint
* Brown Craft Paint
* Two Foam Paint Brushes
* Four Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
* School Glue
* Game Pieces – two different types {I used pom poms and candy corn}

Directions:

* First paint the center of the paper plate completely orange or red.
* Next – paint the rim of the paper plate completely brown.
* To finish off the Paper Plate Pie Game, glue the FOUR jumbo popsicle sticks into a tic tac toe, hashtag shape in the middle of the painted paper plate. Just line each craft stick with glue and place them down.
* Set it aside to let it dry completely before you play with it.
* When ready, add the pom pom “whipped cream” and fake candy corn game pieces & play tic tac toe as normal.
* And of course you can change out the color of the paint to reflect other pie flavors {red for apple pie or green for key lime pie} Just have fun with it!!
