HO HO HO! It’s Stacey coming at you once again with another shredded paper craft idea for the littlest crafters in your home!
At Glued To My Crafts, I absolutely LOVE the thought of sharing a cheap and super easy craft idea. It’s one of my goals I strive for EVERY post I hit publish on.
Through the many years of building my craft website, I have learned that not only do I not like spending tons of money on every kid craft idea I do share but neither do my lovely readers.
Some of my most popular tutorials have either involved nearly free or very inexpensive materials to complete the craft. I often enjoy hitting up my local Dollar Tree for my supplies because I DON’T feel guilty about filling up my cart with the materials I use. I can imagine you like that feeling as well!
So what if you told you that today’s crinkle paper Santa belly craft idea is NEARLY on the free spectrum AND it only has about THREE easy steps to it. Would that get you super excited?! Plus it’s great for ANY day of the month, leading up to the BIG Christmas holiday! From a snowy day you spend indoors, to a good story time activity maybe at a holiday party – this craft will fit the winter theme to a “T!”
Many of us already have plastic sandwich bags in our pantry right now {especially during the school and holiday season} and with one quick trip to the dollar store for some red, shredded crinkle paper {aka – what makes Santa’s belly nice and fluffy} you will be well on your way to pulling this idea together in no time. Just stuff the bag with the red paper and customize it to make your Santa friend come to life!
So my dear friends, why not up-cycle a few handfuls of that “messy” paper that you will probably “stuff” into your holiday gifts this year and make some awesome Christmas paper pieces to share instead?! I’m plugging this as toddler friendly craft {because it’s really easy for their little hands} but older kids would probably enjoy this idea as well!
