It seemed only fitting since we live in Tampa, Florida that we share this popsicle stick Christmas flamingo kid craft idea with you all! It’s for those of us who are dreaming of seeing reindeer in the snow but the odds are not in our favor – LOL!
On that note, this latest craft idea idea from us is super cute, really easy to achieve AND makes for awesome {and festive} party decor to make & display this upcoming holiday season! Perfect for kids and adults – it’s clearly a MUST DO! You could even do some pretend puppet play with each piece you make!
My favorite element is probably the candy cane striped “flamingo legs” I made from pipe cleaners. It honestly started from there and only got better!

Popsicle Stick Christmas Flamingo Supplies:
* Jumbo Craft Sticks {7 per holiday flamingo craft}
* Hot Glue Gun
* Glue Gun Sticks
* Pink Craft Paint
* Foam Paint Brush
* Black Colored Cardstock
* Paper Craft Scissors
* Large Wiggle Eyes {1 per flamingo}
* Red Pipe Cleaner {1 per flamingo}
* White Pipe Cleaner {1 per flamingo}
* Small Santa Hat Sticker {I found mine at Michaels!}
Directions:
* First get your glue gun hot and ready {adult supervision please!}
* Go ahead and glue your SEVEN craft sticks together in a simple “L” shape {3 on 4 – the three is the flamingo head, while the four is the body.}
* Set aside to let it dry completely.
* Repeat for each holiday flamingo you want to make today.
* Once done, paint your craft stick shape/flamingo body completely pink.
* Set it aside to let it dry.
* Now grab your black cardstock.
* Cut out a pointed nose for each flamingo you are making.
* Follow that up by gluing your cardstock nose, Santa hat sticker and wiggle eye in place, on the popsicle stick shape.
* Now the last step – grab your two pipe cleaners and twist them together to look like a candy cane.
* Go ahead and bend the pipe cleaner piece to create flamingo legs and glue it on the painted craft stick shape.
* Add other embellishments you see fit, before setting aside to let it dry completely.
* Display your popsicle stick Christmas flamingo piece proudly in your home and snap a few pictures to share with us on our Facebook page! You could even turn these into creative flamingo ornaments by hot glue string to the back!
