Craft Stick Vampire Friend – Dracula Kid Craft Idea For Halloween
You guys – I’m going to creep-it-real with you all! I’ve been on a “craft high” taking my completely original popsicle stick friend tutorial and revamping it in multiple ways, for multiple seasons and holidays. I already have our llama witch and Frankenstein version posts for Halloween currently live. There are more coming onto the Glued To My Crafts website – stay tuned!
But till then – let’s focus on this latest idea. Shall we?!
These cute little Popsicle Stick Vampire Friends are fun for all ages to make and are simply made out of wood craft sticks, paint, cardstock and a whole lot of crafty imagination. You can get this frightfully good look with just ONE trip to the craft store and just a little cash. In fact – you might even have most of the supplies already on hand!
Each craft stick Dracula creation can have their own coven of ghostly personality, while not being too scary but still perfect for Halloween {especially for the little ones in your home!} You could even have your child make a whole bunch all at once and set up a puppet store afterwards, to entertain beyond the craft table! Parents should also make their own vampire to play along as well – hint hint!
So my friends – it’s time to sit for a spell and find the full tutorial below. I’ve laid it out rather easy and I hope it enchants your little boo-tastic crafter today!
Happy crafting, my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures of your Popsicle Stick Dracula Friend with us on our Facebook page! I can’t wait to see your craft stick and paper vampire puppets in action! #gluedtomycrafts

Craft Stick Vampire Craft Supplies:
* Jumbo Popsicle Sticks {3 per vampire friend craft}
* Mini Popsicle Sticks {2 per vampire friend craft}
* Mini Clothespins {2 per vampire friend craft}
* Low Temp Glue Gun
* Black Craft Paint
* Small Paint Brush
* Small Paper Plate
* White Colored Cardstock
* Red Colored Cardstock
* Black Sharpie Marker
* Small Pumpkin Cutout {I found these at Walmart}
optional – small Halloween stickers, glitter glue, rhinestones etc.
Directions:
* First get the glue gun hot and ready {adult supervision please!}
* Assemble the base of your vampire friend by gluing THREE jumbo popsicle sticks and TWO mini popsicle sticks together to look like a door {3 next to each other and the mini popsicle sticks across}
* Set aside to let it dry completely.
* Repeat for each Dracula friend you want to make today.
* When the hot glue is set enough, go ahead and squirt some black craft paint on a paper plate.
* Take the paint brush and paint the newly made popsicle stick shape completely black.
* Set it aside again, to allow it to dry completely.
* Now grab your red and white cardstock paper, along with the paper craft scissors and black Sharpie marker.
* We are going to start with his head. Cut out a large circle from the white cardstock.
* Use the black Sharpie marker to draw on his hair, eyes, fangs etc.
* Out of the red cardstock, we are going to cut out a large cape, as well as two small triangles for the collar.
* Now go ahead and glue ALL the paper pieces you just made, to the popsicle stick shape from earlier.
* The head and triangle pieces will go on the front of the popsicle shape, while the paper cape will go on the back.
* This next step is CRUCIAL. Grab your TWO mini clothespins and your pumpkin cutout.
* Pinch the clothespins {one on each side} around the pumpkin, to make it look like the vampire’s hands/arms are holding it.
* Now go ahead and hot glue the combined piece you just made, to the center of the decorated popsicle stick shape.
* To finish off the Popsicle Stick Vampire craft, add any other embellishments you see fit.
* Then let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
