Oh boy! I’m so excited to finally share today’s Paper Plate and Chalk Art Bride of Frankenstein Hair kid craft idea with you all! EEK! I’m seriously screaming inside but it’s not because I’m scared. Far from it!

I’m screaming because this latest Halloween art project idea for kids is SUPER UNIQUE to us and you won’t find it ANYWHERE else. This is something I came up with {all on my own} and I hope you see the Frankenstein bride vision I had when I first starting designing this tutorial in my head.

I absolutely LOVE my end result and I hope you enjoy it too. It’s so simple and absolutely PERFECT for children of ALL ages to make this Halloween season. No need to be scared of this one – I promise!

With complete customization at your child’s fingertips, this inexpensive paper plate and sidewalk chalk craft idea is sure to bring endless fun to your home, this upcoming Halloween season! You can make your new Frankenbride friend have beautiful hair, wacky looks or be frightfully delightful. I won’t judge! Chalk Art Bride of Frankenstein - Kid Craft Idea For Halloween Chalk Art Bride of Frankenstein - Kid Craft Idea For Halloween

What You Need:

  • Large Paper Plate {one plates makes TWO Frankenstein bride crafts}
  • Kid Friendly Paper Craft Scissors
  • Green Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Black Colored Cardstock Paper {two sheets}
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • Pink Cardstock Paper
  • Crayola Sidewalk Chalk {two-three different shades}
  • Baby Wipes
  • Hand-Held Office Stapler
  • School Glue
  • Wiggle Eyes {two per Frankenstein bride craft}

Directions:

  • First things first – grab your large paper plate and scissors.
  • Cut the paper plate, straight down the center, into TWO equal halves.
  • Reserve one half for today’s Frankenstein monster craft and save the other for a rainy day.
  • Now grab your green craft paint and the foam paint brush.
  • Squirt some paint in the middle of the paper plate half and move it around with the foam paint brush, until the paper plate is completely covered.
  • When done painting, set aside the paper plate to allow it to dry completely.
  • Now grab your black cardstock and pieces of sidewalk chalk.
  • Make several lines, all over the black cardstock, to recreate the bride’s wacky hair. Add as much or as little as you like.
  • When done with the chalk, set aside the paper piece and clean your hands off with a few baby wipes.
  • Now grab your painted paper piece, the sidewalk chalk paper and stapler.
  • Start off by stapling the painted paper plate half to the bottom portion of the black cardstock with the chalk lines. You want it to look like the hair is coming the monster’s head.
  • Now grab your remaining cardstock paper sheets and scissors.
  • Cut out lips, a nose, bolts and of course – that iconic WHITE bolt for in her hair.
  • Now you are ready to glue those paper pieces to the craft, along with the wiggle eyes so she can see.
  • Then add any other embellishments you see fit {maybe some glitter or some Halloween themed stickers for a festive look.}
  • Then display your custom one-of-a-kind paper chalk art Frankenstein bride piece proudly for all to see!

Tools:

  • 1 Scissors
