THE CRAFT SUPPLIES AND DIRECTIONS:
- First off – we are going to download the FREE PRINTABLE from the black cat in pumpkin {found on box.com} tutorial. Just click on that link and go to the supply list. Go ahead and print it out, in color, on a single sheet of white cardstock. You only need ONE cat print per craft.
- Once you have it printed out, grab a black crayon, scissors, a sheet of colored cardstock for the witch hat, school glue and some wiggle eyes.
- Color in the cat, in the printable, with a black crayon. When done, trim out the various pieces with scissors, just like in the previous tutorial. The only thing we are changing, is the fact that we are adding a cardstock witch hat on the cat’s head, to really tie the theme together. Don’t forget to add wiggle eyes so she can see.
- Go ahead and set aside your decorated cat pieces till later.
- Now click on over to the paint splat magic witch ball tutorial and follow the directions exactly the same way. The basics is that you are taking a small paper plate, folding it in half and decorating the center with a few different colors of Tulip puffy paint. I personally LOVE this art project idea because no two magic balls will be the same. When done making the marbled look, add a cardstock bottom and some Halloween stickers to the center.
- Once you have the magic ball element completed, you are going to grab ALL your black cat pieces from earlier and the stapler.
- Simply staple ALL the cardstock pieces to the decorated paper plate. The cat’s head will be on the back side, peeking over, while the paws will be on the front. Then add any other embellishments you see fit, because you display it proudly for all to see!
- Now isn’t that easy peasy and fun for Halloween?! Don’t forget to also share pictures of your finished paper plate and paint splat black cat and magic ball creations with us on our Facebook page. It seriously makes my heart melt to hear from my readers!
