Autumn leaves and pumpkins please! I’ve fallen in love with my latest idea and I hope you love our Pumpkin Teapot House tutorial as much as I did designing it!
Fall time is my absolute favorite of year and I “think” this pumpkin teapot house art project should be on EVERYONE’s to-do list this season!
Orange Pumpkin Cutout Teapot House Craft
Oh my gourd! I’m so excited to be sharing this Pumpkin Teapot House idea with you all today. Like seriously – the tiny hairs on my arms are standing up as I type this very blog post… I have a good feeling about this one!
It’s got those warm hues, unexpected craft materials and that ultimate FALL FAIRY TALE FEEL! We are making custom hideaway houses for our tiny autumn friends and I hope you come along on the craft journey as well!
I purchased all my materials at Michaels recently but honestly, this is one of those crafts where you can take it ANY direction you like. Feel free to substitute or eliminate things you might not like. Heck – Dollar Tree might even be a better starting point on getting your supplies and keeping that budget really low. I just want to throw it out there that the decorative green moss I used for my paper teapots may look really cute {I think it really gives it that fairy garden feel} but it’s really messy. Fair warning! I think messy is great but some might not 🙂
Anyways – you can find all the crafty details below on how you can make this mixed media pumpkin teapot fairy house come to life within minutes. It’s going to be “home sweet home” perfection this fall season!
Happy crafting, my friends! Turn over a new leaf today and be sure to snap a few pictures to share with us! I want to #squashgoals this month and I need your help. Come share your pics on my Facebook page or use our special branded #gluedtomycrafts hashtag for me to see from. I can’t wait to see your beautiful pumpkin fairy houses so I can help spread the word on how easy it to recreate!!!

Directions:
- First things first – we are going to make the craft stick door for our pumpkin teapot fairy house. Glue the FIVE mini popsicle sticks together to look like a little door. Four sticks next to each other and then one across to keep them all in line.
- Set it aside to allow it to dry completely.
- Now take a single sheet of colored cardstock and glue down a foam pumpkin shape to the center of the paper.
- Next up – the teapot elements. Grab the orange cardstock and scissors.
- Cut out a handle and spout from it. Use our pictures as inspiration.
- From the remaining cardstock, go ahead and also cut out some windows and a half circle roof line with a chimney topper for the “lid” of the teapot.
- Go ahead and glue the popsicle stick door you made earlier, onto the front of the pumpkin shape.
- Follow that up by gluing ALL the paper elements you just made, onto the foam pumpkin piece as well.
- Use your choice of coloring instrument to draw on windows, lines on the chimney etc.
- Finally – add a good amount of school glue and add the decorative moss all around the pumpkin fairy house.
- Add any other embellishments you see fit and allow it to dry completely before you display it proudly.
- Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of your creation to share! #gluedtomycrafts
