Paper Sunflower Craft Supplies:
- Free Blank Sunflower Printable {Download HERE}
- White Cardstock Paper
- Color Printer
- Paper Craft Scissors
- Yellow, Brown and Green Crayons
- Black Cardstock Paper {scraps are great!}
- Single Hole Punch {affiliate link}
- Small Bowl or Dish
- Elmer’s School Glue or Glue Stick
Directions:
- First things first – download our free sunflower printable listed above.
- Print it out through your home printer on a single sheet of white cardstock paper. You only need one print per craft. Print as many as you like but only use this file for personal use please!
- Next up – grab your crayons and color in the sunflower design in the printable. You want the petals to be yellow, while the center is brown. You should also draw a stem coming from the flower, as well.
- Now grab your black colored paper and the single hole punch.
- Go ahead and hole punch a good amount of “circles” that will later go in the center of your flower. You will need a lot of paper punches, so go to town on this step! A good tip is to do the hole punching over a small bowl, to keep the paper circles contained till you need them.
- Next up, grab your choice of adhesive and make several squiggles & lines of glue in the brown part of the sunflower.
- Now, working pretty fast, you are going to want to sprinkle, dump and rub your paper hole punches ALL over the glue, to make “sunflower seeds” in the flower. Keep adding more glue and paper circles until you have the look you like.
- Shake off excess pieces and set aside to let it dry completely.
- Then display proudly your colorful paper confetti sunflower paper piece for all to see!
- Don’t forget to snap a few pictures to share with us, of your paper confetti sunflower made from cardstock! #gluedtomycrafts
MAKE IT YOUR OWN TODAY!
- Instead of using black colored paper hole punches like I did in today’s paper sunflower kid craft tutorial, you can also dip your index finger or a clean q-tip into black craft paint to make “dotted prints” inside the flower instead. Then repeat until you have that desired look, in a different craft medium! Super fun and perfect for the younger children in your home!!!
- You can also go for GLAM and add glitter, buttons, rhinestones – whatever your crafty heart desires! Even REAL sunflower seeds would be fun to include in this mixed media craft idea!
