Waiting For You Poem Deployment Craft Idea

Waiting For You Poem - Deployment Kid Craft Idea

Deployment Waiting For You Craft Idea For Kids

Today’s “Waiting For You” paper deployment kid craft idea is ALL thanks to a lovely reader who in my Facebook group.

She asked last night if I could come up with something centered around a parent who is away and the kids are patiently waiting at the window for them.

After thinking about it long and hard overnight, the poem you will find in today’s provided printable is something I came up with on my own. It actually came to me as I thought of my son, while daddy was recently deployed. The poem is completely original to me and of course – first seen here. I’m by no means a “poetic” person but I hope you like what I came up with!

Anyways – I’m marketing this as a deployment themed kid craft idea {maybe something the kids can send to a parent in a care package} but honestly, it can be used for any occasion and anyone your child adores. The lovely reader who first sparked this very idea in my head mentioned Father’s Day, so I highly encourage that direction as well!

Feel free to use our crafty idea and the free provided printable below, however you like! You could even skip our poem all together and make your own from scratch. I just hope we keep the crafty train going and you are inspired to recreate your own paper house with picture window, with your child today!

Find all the crafty details and free waiting for you poem printable below. Happy crafting my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures with us of your “waiting for you” finished paper piece. It would seriously make my day to hear from you! You can find us on Facebook and Instagram for easy sharing and tagging! #gluedtomycrafts

PAIR YOUR FINISHED CRAFT WITH —> Handprint Mail A Hug

Waiting isn’t something I do well,
But I’ll wait right here for you.
All will be perfect when you come home,
And the sky so blue!
Do you see me through the window?
I’m patiently waiting right here in my spot.
It doesn’t matter how long it takes,
Even if it’s a lot!
When I first see you,
I’m going to give you the biggest hug I can.
I’m going to run so fast,
Because I will always be your number one fan!
Now hurry back safely and quickly,
For when I’m with you there is no place I’d rather be.
Thank you for always providing, protecting,
And of course, nurturing me.
