Paper "My Point Is, I Like You A Lot" Card - Kids Craft

Cactus “My Point Is, I Like You A Lot” Card

When I first started brainstorming this cactus card idea for Glued To My Crafts, I originally had Valentine’s Day on my mind.

Sadly… life happened, other things happened and then this idea got put on the back-burner for a few weeks.

But you know what? I’m not at all upset over it. After thinking about it… I decided this cactus plant card idea was great for ALL YEAR LONG celebrating. With the basic cactus plant design in our free printable and the simple phrase underneath it, you can make this card for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, just because moments and of course, Valentine’s Day.

I left the idea pretty neutral so you can gift it to anyone and everyone, whenever the moment comes up {but Father’s Day is fast approaching so be sure to bookmark this post for him if you are looking for something a little outside the traditional!}

Anyways…without further ado, below are ALL the crafty details and the free file to get you started. It’s just a matter of printing and assembling a simple handmade card. With customization at your fingertips, we hope my “My Point Is, I Like You A Lot” card idea comes in handy for you!

A huge thank you to dailyarthub.com for the cactus graphic in today’s free file.

With there ALWAYS being a reason to celebrate someone in your life, our latest “My Point Is, I Like You A Lot” card tutorial is a MUST-DO!

Craft Supplies:

  • Free Potted Cactus Card File {grab it on box.com}
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Color Printer
  • Crayons, Colored Pencils, Markers etc.
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Glue Stick or Tape Runner Adhesive
  • optional materials – embellishments like stickers, glitter, rhinestones

Directions:

  • First things first – print out our FREE cactus card printable listed above in the supply list. You only need one printable per handmade card. Feel free to print as many as you like but the free file is only for PERSONAL USE or in a classroom setting.
  • Once you have the cactus printable printed out, grab your choice of coloring medium and scissors.
  • Color in your printable however you like. My suggestion is to make the pot brown and the cactus green but of course you change that up if you choose – wink wink!
  • When you are done color, cut out and trim down ONE half of the printable, so it will fit on your handmade card. Save the second half for later.
  • Next up – grab one sheet of colored cardstock paper {any color you like!}
  • Go ahead and fold it in half to make a simple card.
  • Grab the card front you just made earlier.
  • Go ahead and glue it down to the folded card you just made.
  • Finally – add anything else you see fit to the front of the card, write something sweet in the inside and get ready to give it to someone special today!
  • Don’t forget to repeat this cactus craft with the remaining printable from earlier!
