Green Paper Napkins Turned Winter Tree Art For Kids
I’m taking another step outside the traditional and incorporating PAPER NAPKINS into our kid craft tutorial today!
Yes, you read that right! Napkins that you typically use to clean up messes can be used in your crafts. Just like regular paper, the napkins can be cut up and used in various ways in your art projects – especially kid friendly ones!
And since you are probably picking up a few for your holiday parties coming up, why not grab a pack {or two} of some basic GREEN COLORED ONES and make this Creative Paper Napkin Winter Trees kid craft idea with your child today! It’s going to only cost you a few cents for the craft and a little bit of time to make those creative juices flow!

Craft Supplies:
- Light Blue Cardstock Paper
- Green Paper Napkins {two different shades}
- Craft Scissors
- School Glue
- Brown Sharpie Marker
- White Craft Paint
- Small Paper Plate
- Q-Tip or Small Paint Brush
Directions:
- First things first – take your green paper napkins and cut out several triangles for your “trees.”
- Once you have those, go ahead and start gluing them on your cardstock, in various places to make your field of trees.
- Grab your brown Sharpie marker and draw “tree trunks” underneath each tree.
- Finally – grab the white craft paint and a paper plate.
- Squirt some paint on the plate.
- Take your paint brush or qtip and dip it in the paint, then on your paper {several times} to make snow all over the scene. Add as much or as little as you like!
- When done adding the snow, set it aside to let it dry completely.
- Now display proudly!

- Don’t have on hand or want to use green napkins to recreate this craft idea? That’s totally ok! I promise! Just swap out that particular craft supply and use green construction paper instead.
- Even recycled newspaper pages that you paint green and cut into triangle shapes, would be great for this craft idea! We just want to get those juices flowing, so let them go!
