This is another one of those Dollar Tree “awesome find” kid craft tutorials! It makes my job super easy and keeps the budget low too!

Recently I grabbed a pack of large green paper doilies from their Christmas aisle and it was the perfect “starter” material to make “tree friends” out of. After raiding my craft stash and using random materials to make a Christmas tree come to life on paper, it just seemed too perfect not to share with you all! Once the wiggle eyes were added, I was sold on this idea!

Today’s Paper Doily Christmas Tree Friends, paper art kid craft tutorial is really easy and I can seen it being turned into cards as well.

Find the full tutorial below and happy crafting, my friends!! Please don’t forget to share pictures of your beautiful Christmas trees made from paper doilies, on our Facebook page to admire from a far this holiday season! #gluedtomycrafts

Paper Doily Christmas Tree Friends - Paper Art Craft

Paper Doily Christmas Tree

This easy Dollar Tree kid craft is perfect for the Christmas season! All you need are some paper doilies and a little bit of imagination.

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Green Paper Doilies
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Tape Runner or Glue Stick
  • Sharpie Marker
  • Large Wiggle Eyes
  • Glitter Glue and/or Puffy Paint
  • Rhinestone Stickers

Directions:

  • Using our picture as an example, you are going to take ONE green paper doily and fold it inward, like a triangle. This will create your tree shape.
  • Adhere it {the white side down} onto a single sheet of cardstock.
  • Take your Sharpie marker and draw on a “stump” for the tree.
  • Now grab ALL of your other embellishments and bring your Christmas Tree Friend to life! I used glitter glue for the light strands and rhinestone dots for the ornaments.
  • Don’t forget the wiggle eyes and a smile as well!
  • When done decorating, set it aside to let it dry completely before displaying {and or gifting} proudly!
