A DIY Christmas not only let’s you set the scene with flair but you are also making crafting memories that are sure to last a lifetime! We love INSPIRING those moments and we can’t wait for you to check out our latest Dollar Tree Find – Sleigh Riding Handprint Snowmen tutorial!
Hands down, Dollar Tree is one of my favorite places to “stalk” for inexpensive materials for our craft tutorials. You can’t beat $1 for EVERYTHING in the store and they typically don’t disappoint on the trends and/or holiday stuff.
The other day, I was scrolling through their front aisles when I came across one of these small tinsel covered sleighs in the Christmas section. The sleigh itself is pretty sturdy, stands up on it’s own and has a pretty good opening for you to place something inside. After playing with some ideas in my head, I instantly envisioned some “snowmen” sitting in Santa’s sleigh, going for a joy ride.
And that leads us to today’s post! Keep on scrolling for a few more details on how I pulled it together with my son, within minutes. From there, I hope you are inspired to recreate it yourself because it literally will cost you ONE DOLLAR from start to finish {not too shabby, right?} and it makes for custom decor you can even gift to someone this holiday season! Remember – it can left out in your home decor for winter as well!
So don’t let this idea melt away! Happy crafting, my friends!!! #gluedtomycrafts
