I don’t know about you but I love the idea of making a gingerbread house every year but I hate the “failure” part of it.
Let’s face it. Not all of us are meant to be master builders when it comes to a gingerbread house. Most of the time {least for me} my house doesn’t look ANYTHING like the box and it’s caving in on itself, within a few minutes. Maybe I lack the patience or maybe even the skills. I’ve joked with my husband before, but I seriously think cement glue should come in the kits, versus real frosting. But ya know – that would be not edible and apparently that’s frowned upon. Oops. But who eats them afterwards, anyways?! Not us! YUCK!
So on that note, if you can relate to any of my crazy statements above, boy do I have a CLEVER SOLUTION for you today! Skip the real thing this holiday season and go for a paper version instead! I mean…hello?! That’s the Glued To My Crafts preferred way, anyways! We love our paper and glue here & we hope you do too! That’s why we even included a FREE PRINTABLE in this post to get you started!
To take advantage of our crafty Mixed Media Paper Gingerbread House craft idea and save you the stress this Christmas, you can find the FULL tutorial & house download below!

- To finish off the Paper Gingerbread House craft, finish off by decorating it with various candy stickers and embellishments.
- Then set aside to let it dry completely and display proudly.
